You can explore the Haut Pays Bigouden on foot, by bike, on horseback and even on a donkey. Numerous signposted footpaths and tracks criss-cross the 11 villages, providing a marvelous way to discover the unspoilt scenery, traditions and legends.

To explore the coastline on foot, follow the GR34 Hiking Path with its outstanding panoramic views of the Bay of Audierne.

To discover the Bay of Audierne by bike, take the coastal cycle-path (véloroute) by following the signposts to the ‘plage’ (beach) from village centre.

The Office de Tourisme has a range of leaflets and guides featuring walks of different lengths and degrees of difficulty. You can find them in our online shop.

In the footsteps of the 'Cheval d’Orgueil' :

A 6 km walk through the village of Pouldreuzic, birthplace of the author Per Jakez Hélias, passing by 17 information boards featuring extracts from his masterpiece 'Le Cheval d'Orgueil'.

Landudec Plant Trail :

Learn how to identify 35 different trees on a lovely, shaded country walk ;

Waiting for the 'Train Carotte' in Plonéour-Lanvern :

A walk featuring 10 information boards which describe the development of transport from 1860 to 1960.

Coastal Tales :

A 6 km walk along the coast at Plozévet to discover what life used to be like for the peasant-fishermen of the Bay of Audierne.
